Check the flatness of the wall with a 2.5 m control ruler and a spirit level. If you find differences in level that could compromise the installation of Isoclip®, carry out a preliminary shave.
2
In the case of a plastered wall, check the tightness of the surface layer and remove any deteriorated parts.
3
Secure the starting profile with the flat head expansion anchors. Use the spirit level to apply the profile parallel to the ground. It is advisable to keep a distance of at least 5 cm from the ground.
4
Mix the adhesive mortar carefully to avoid the formation of lumps. We recommend using Litokol Powerflex K50, Mapei Keraflex Max or an equivalent product.
5
Spread the adhesive mortar on the wall and on the back of the Isoclip® panel, parallel to the shorter side, with a 10 mm notched trowel.
6
In case of an uneven bottom surface, distribute the adhesive mortar in spots, on the edges and in the central parts of the Isoclip® panel.
7
Fix the Isoclip® panel with Fischer SRL 8X100 FUSC expansion anchors and check the horizontal alignment with the spirit level.
8
Apply the steel brackets to the shorter left side of the Isoclip® panel. They will allow you to fit adjoining panels together.
9
Install the next panel by repeating the process from the beginning. Make sure it fits into the brackets of the previously laid panel.
10
Place the levelers in the appropriate points, so that the joints of the Isoclip® panels are aligned. Once you have installed at least 4 panels, screw the tie rods on the levelers to obtain the perfect flatness of the cladding.
11
48 hours after laying, unscrew the tie rods and break the stem of the levelers. You can help yourself with a light hammer blow or by applying light pressure with the rod.
12
Fill the joints between the slabs with putty. We recommend using Litokol's FillGood. Proceed with the final cleaning.
13
After installation, it is recommended not to use a hammer drill to drill holes in the panel. We advise you to use the special water-cooled cup bits and, before drilling the hole, to keep the drill bit slightly inclined.
14
To secure gutters or other structural elements, use a fixing dowel for spaced loads. In order to avoid excessive pressure on the ceramic surface, you can insert a small rigid tube inside the coat.
15
If you have to lay Isoclip® near the external corners of a building, remove the excess EPS parts and mask the edges of the ceramic slab. Finally, seal everything with silicone.
